New books and pirates

Yesterday after revisiting my dodge the other people passtime in the city centre I met J* at Musicana where we caught up over a Mango shisa and filter coffee with wrapped biscuit and two optional Kenco milks. We talked loads, and I feel a refinement is arriving for the dissertation topic. It is lovely to be back. The idea that is exciting me is where the processes of play and discovery transcend seriousness, intention and reputation. There are people who know their language, which ever medium holds it, and they make fun, I mean entertaining, I mean something satisfying that you haven't thought before perhaps. I am thinking to about improvisation the accidents it brings, discovery from the brain and not the myth of the artist, human proof on the spot. I think it is my personal reaction to the theory style that tells us that we are just brains and invent our own meaning, using its language to do it. That is just silly.

I want to remind the surname wisdom dealers that theirs are as much of an idea as any other, not to be afraid of idea hierachies, all is equal in the data world and our brains manage data in some form, art is stimulus, people tend to choose what they enjoy and your tastes can change depending upon the reasons for your decisions in the first place. So really, despite what big important Kant may say and think, I like bright pictures.

I know it isn't Kant's fault, it's the people who recite his ideas until their lungs are empty, they're boring. I would rather talk to a friend in a deliberately understandable way, because everybody knows that mostly we choose how we talk with people.

I have borrowed four books to read over the next week that will somehow help me to decide on my question for the dissertation, I don't think 'why bother' is all that embracing. This variety will keep things looking broad. Viz deserves credit for its services to the thesaurus.
